Hi, my name is Makael Exum and i am a junior at Duke Ellington school for the arts. Although our school is DCPS funded, that only applies to the academic side of the school. Unfortunately all of our arts are funded by annual fundraisers such as our March For the Arts.

Please donate to our cause and allow us to continue to have classes with accomplished actors and put on shows for our community. Our teachers are hard working, however they too are not funded by DCPS. Their pay will be from your generous donations. Your donations will be tax deductible and you will recieve the schools EIN number in your receipt.

Thank you for supporting us and allowing us to PLAY ON!

March for the Arts, formerly the Walk of Fame, is the

Duke Ellington School of the Arts annual Theatre

Fundraiser.

CELEBRATE WITH US ON OCTOBER 26 AT OUR ANNUAL

MARCH FOR THE ARTS FESTIVAL

ALL ARE WELCOME!

Georgetown’s history of mystery doesn’t deter counselors from setting up Camp Ellington at the historic Duke Ellington School of the Arts campus. All of the superstitious locals warn against it, but the young counselors pay little heed to the old timers. Campers try to enjoy activities like moon bounces, sack races, camp stories, delicious food and costume contests*, but mysteriously they keep disappearing. “Who will survive and what will be left of them?”

Come join the fun and help solve the mystery at Camp Ellington on Saturday, October 26th from 10-1pm. Guests will participate in an arts festival and March through Georgetown with performances and events from classic horror films. “Be afraid. Be very afraid.” Fun for the whole family! We’re celebrating and “evil loves to party!”

*Come dressed in costume to enter our costume contest! Extra points given to entries dressed as their favorite horror film character.
