My name is De’La Strader. I am a Third Year at Duke Ellington School of The Arts. In the Theatre Department we have a fundraiser every year. This fundraiser helps us fund for Master Classes, Spring Show, and more but with this money we raise we also get to go to New York as a Department and we get to spend the day in New York and watch plays. This Year we are hoping to spend the night in New York so that we can do way more things to help us as actresses and actors and also get a feel for New York to see if we want to go to college around there. If you could please donate to me and my department that would be greatly appreciated. Anything will help. Thank you so much!
TO SUPPORT YOUNG THEATRE ARTISTS ON THE MOVE
CELEBRATE WITH US ON OCTOBER 26 AT OUR ANNUAL
MARCH FOR THE ARTS FESTIVAL
ALL ARE WELCOME!
Georgetown’s history of mystery doesn’t deter counselors from setting up Camp Ellington at the historic Duke Ellington School of the Arts campus. All of the superstitious locals warn against it, but the young counselors pay little heed to the old timers. Campers try to enjoy activities like moon bounces, sack races, camp stories, delicious food and costume contests*, but mysteriously they keep disappearing. “Who will survive and what will be left of them?”
Come join the fun and help solve the mystery at Camp Ellington on Saturday, October 26th from 10-1pm. Guests will participate in an arts festival and March through Georgetown with performances and events from classic horror films. “Be afraid. Be very afraid.” Fun for the whole family! We’re celebrating and “evil loves to party!”
*Come dressed in costume to enter our costume contest! Extra points given to entries dressed as their favorite horror film character.
