Hello. My name is Moyo Ifafore. I am a young artist who truly enjoys acting, singing, writing and playing the saxophone.
The Arts is a huge part of who I am, yet, historically, the art department is usually the most underserved. They are deemed unnecessary, compared to maths, english and sciences, and fall behind sports too.
However, I believe that a well rounded member of society knows the importance of the arts. I need your help and support to help young artists like me, continue to hone their craft and not only share but introduce the arts to more people. Your donation will be of immense help to the theater department. Your generous contribution will go towards workshops, textbooks, supplies, and productions! Your donation will directly help young artists like myself become the very best they can be, and create more opportunities for growth. Be a part of our future and consider donating today!
TO SUPPORT YOUNG THEATRE ARTISTS ON THE MOVE
CELEBRATE WITH US ON OCTOBER 26 AT OUR ANNUAL
MARCH FOR THE ARTS FESTIVAL
ALL ARE WELCOME!
Georgetown’s history of mystery doesn’t deter counselors from setting up Camp Ellington at the historic Duke Ellington School of the Arts campus. All of the superstitious locals warn against it, but the young counselors pay little heed to the old timers. Campers try to enjoy activities like moon bounces, sack races, camp stories, delicious food and costume contests*, but mysteriously they keep disappearing. “Who will survive and what will be left of them?”
Come join the fun and help solve the mystery at Camp Ellington on Saturday, October 26th from 10-1pm. Guests will participate in an arts festival and March through Georgetown with performances and events from classic horror films. “Be afraid. Be very afraid.” Fun for the whole family! We’re celebrating and “evil loves to party!”
*Come dressed in costume to enter our costume contest! Extra points given to entries dressed as their favorite horror film character.
