Hi Everyone! My name is Nyla Marie Mickel and I am in the 11th grade at Duke Ellington School of the Arts. Every year the juniors in the Theatre Department lead an event called March for the Arts. The third years are responsible for directing, choreographing, marketing, decorating, and so much more! March for the Arts is a way we raise money for upcoming productions, the equipment that's used in the shows, and special guest visits. Since this is the year that my ensemble leads this event I want to raise as much money as I can, so this year I'm setting my goal for $1000! I'm thankful for all donations and thank you so much for reading! I can't wait to see you at the event on the 23rd:) YOUR DONATION IS TAX DEDUCTIBLE!!!!!!!!!

March for the Arts, is the

Duke Ellington School of the Arts annual Theatre

Fundraiser.

Support Us!

In the Theatre Department, students aren't just taught how to act. They are taught how to create the stories they want to see. They are given the tools to shape the world around them with their art. Ellington relies on the generosity of parents and donors to ensure that our students receive the highest level of pre-professional training and performance opportunities. Donations enable them to create sets, craft costumes, power technical capabilities, hire additional instructors, and fund classes with Master Acting Teachers like the renowned Professor Vera Katz.

Celebrate With Us!

Once upon a time there was an enchanted land full of magical spells, beautiful maidens, and true love where everyone lived happily ever after. Or did they??? Take a magical tour through the enchanted forests of Georgetown and learn what really happened to Rapunzel, Jasmine, Hansel and Gretel and other misrepresented characters during an interactive live show. After the performance, get more of the real scoop while you fly high on the moon bounces with Aladdin, play croquet with Alice, eat homemade treats with Tiana, and dance like the clock will never strike 12 with Cinderella! Enchanted showtimes are at 10:30 and 12. Dress as your favorite misrepresented fairytale character for a special gift from the Prince!
