It’s that time of the year again however, something has changed: I am officially a senior in the theatre department which means a plethora of things. Number One: I will soon be going off to college and putting my time at Ellington in the books. The tools that I’ve acquired here will consistently be used and never forgotten.
This year also means that it will be my last time doing shows in the theatre department. I will finally get to put what I’ve learned to the test! An accumulation of 4 years worth of tools with be showcased.
I need your help! As I am prepping for multiple different things at once, I must raise money for our annual March for the Arts. You all have helped me the past 2 years with this fundraiser and the support has not gone unnoticed. I am asking for your help for one final curtain call!
Much love to you all!
In the Theatre Department, students aren't just taught how to act. They are taught how to create the stories they want to see. They are given the tools to shape the world around them with their art. Ellington relies on the generosity of parents and donors to ensure that our students receive the highest level of pre-professional training and performance opportunities. Donations enable them to create sets, craft costumes, power technical capabilities, hire additional instructors, and fund classes with Master Acting Teachers like the renowned Professor Vera Katz.
