Supporting: March for the Arts 2021 for Duke Ellington School of the Arts Project
My Team: Third Years
Campaign has ended.
Hey hey! My name is Autumn Whetstone and I'm a junior in the Theatre Department. I have the passion to pursue to be an Actress and teacher. To gain my MFA and to become an entrepreneur and to continue my studies, at Duke Ellington. With matters around the DC community, I have begun to start projects, short videos, bringing awareness, and marketing ways to make the community around all of us a better and healthier place. With the topics such as race, sexuality, pollution, and building a better foundation for the people coming up behind me, Reading, writing, making stories, directing eras of times, opening up unhidden truths to share to audiences has been my inspiration. Now to start this process of sharing this with the world we need your heart! Please support. Every penny helps!
March
for the Arts, is the
Duke Ellington School of the Arts annual Theatre
Fundraiser.
Why do we fundraise?
In the Theatre Department, students aren't just taught how to act. They are taught how to create the stories they want to see. They are given the tools to shape the world around them with their art. Ellington relies on the generosity of parents and donors to ensure that our students receive the highest level of pre-professional training and performance opportunities. Donations enable them to create sets, craft costumes, power technical capabilities, hire additional instructors, and fund classes with Master Acting Teachers like the renowned Professor Vera Katz.
